To begin, first refer to the Adding a Widget solution. Choose the RSS widget and click the continue button.
Name the widget and Click OK. Next, we need to create a filter for this RSS feed.
Go to the Management tab to create a filter.
- Click the RSS feed folder within the Feeds tab. Click the green plus sign icon to add a new feed.
- Name the feed
- Paste the RSS feed URL into the Feed Parameter
- Click Save
Test to see if the feed functions properly by clicking the Test button. Feed stories should populate the Test area.
Go back to the Program Content tab and edit the RSS widget we first created. Select the RSS Feed filter we had created in the management tab within the drop down.
Lastly, customize the RSS display.
Understanding the RSS Terms:

Name - The name of the widget. This is the name that will be shown in the content tab for this widget.

RSS Filter - The RSS filter/feed selected for the widget

Background Style - Use Image. Enables users to select an image as a background for the clock. All widgets look in the “Backgrounds” folder for widget backgrounds.

Sold Fill - Select a solid color as the background for the clock.

Transparent - Sets the background to transparent. The background will show the content in the zone behind it.

Background Color - Sets the color to use as the background when the background style is set to “Solid Fill”.

Background Image - Only available if the background style is set to “Use Image. Enables users to select an image from the “Backgrounds” folder.

Background Opacity - Sets the opacity level of the background color or image. 0=transparent, 100=opaque.
- Text Opacity - Sets the opacity level of the scrolling text. 0=transparent, 100=opaque. Sets the opacity level of the scrolling text. 0=transparent, 100=opaque.
Click OK when finished and place the RSS widget within a zone in your program.
