When searching, there are some basic rules that must be followed. By default, all searches add an "*" wildcard to the end of the search pattern. For example, searching for the word "check" would find checkout, checkup, and checking. Wildcards will not precede the search parameter, however, when using the search bar. For example, searching for the word "out" will not find "checkout". The addition of a wild card token directly preceding the search term will specify a search pattern for the end of the word. For example, when looking for a player MAC address you could search for: *1234
This search will find all players with the MAC address ending in 1234.
There are some built-in attributes associated with each of these elements that can be added to a filter.

Filter search results do not add a wildcard to the end of the search pattern. An explicit wildcard token, the "*" character, must be added to the search pattern to search for wildcard results.
When creating a filter and searching for string fields that contain spaces, the search must be within double quotes. For example, when searching for a site called "Bob's Hardware" the search string would be:
"Bob's Hardware"
